What does this throw fit, and how far does it hang?

How does a drape differ from a fitted throw?

A fitted throw looks tailored; a full drape looks formal. The long overhang gives you the look people associate with hotel banqueting rather than exhibition kit, which is what you want at a reception or gala. How is the hem finished?

The hem is serged, which gives the edge enough body to fall straight and clean rather than curling or rippling around the circumference. On a drape that reaches nearly to the floor the hem sits at eye level all evening, so it is worth getting right.

Can it be washed, and is it certified for venues?

Yes. Artwork prints full colour across the cloth by dye sublimation, with the ink bonded into the fibres, so colours stay saturated through repeated washing and there is nothing on the face to crack or peel. The 100% polyester is machine washable and wrinkle resistant — it goes from bag to table without a steamer and survives the spills that come with a drinks reception — and it is fire retardant, a requirement at many convention centres, hotels, and indoor venues.
